Our eco, fair trade dinner candles, hand poured in Indonesia in British Colour Standard Powder Blue. The origin of this name is not generally known. The term was in use in the 17th Century, and came from the French poudre bleu, an old name for Smalt, which is powdered blue glass,the colour of which is due to cobalt. The term, however, has deviated so much from its original meaning that a separate colour is featured here for Powder Blue. This is matched to samples submitted by textile and other colour using industries, and will be seen to be a pale version of Smalt. Height 24.5cm Tall 8 hour burn time, with a tall clean flame.
